The 164 was an upmarket 144. It was easily recognisable from the front having a more rounded front with larger grills and extra lights set into the front panel. Th 6 bit in the model number 164 designated that this had a wonderfully smooth 6 cylinder engine. As can be seen here the red car features the original grill, while the blue car features a later grill.
